Helping You Find A Pathway Of Hope, Healing, And New Life.
Grief Counseling
Grief is something that a lot, if not all of us have experienced in our lives. Everyone has grieved at one time or another. Some grief runs deep and it is an extremely painful feeling day in and day out. Other grief is painful but only lasts for a short time. No two people grieve in the same way even if they grieve over the same thing. We are all different therefore we are going to react to grief differently.
Grief is absolutely normal, no matter the person's age. It is a way in which we process pain. Sometimes grief is so painful we don’t know how to express it and it comes out in the wrong way. What we are saying is there is not a right or wrong way to grieve. Sometimes during our time of despair, we need help from friends, family, or a professional. The extra support is helpful to our psyche and to remind us that we are not alone. At times it may be difficult for children to grieve as they may not have the capacity for the complexity of grief, it may even be more difficult for the parent or guardian to watch their child grieve. Here at New Hope we can help you in whatever ways you may need during your time of grief. We recognize that grief is a painful emotion. Through grief counseling, we want to help you go through the process in a way that is best for you.
